Tajomstvo Komunikacie

Friday, the 04th of June was "The Mystery Of Communication" ( Tajomstvo Komunikacie in Slovak)
The event started as usual at 7:00. We first had a power-point presentation given by Ida, Karin and Kayo about the reasons why we can face misunderstandings in our daily life and the effect it has in our relationships, with in between some videos and even a small skit.
Then we had some time to discuss with the guests about their own experiences in miscommunication.
We finally ended up the evening playing "werewolf".
The evening was a big success =)

Seminar 1

On Tuesday, the first of June, there was a lecture about Spirit world given by Bong-Sou.
He first gave a power-point presentation in order to give the definition of the Spirit world and the perspective the different religions have about it.
Then he gave a short lecture about the Divine Principle's point of view.
We finally all gathered up as a circle and we had an intense debate, about our own opinion of the Spirit World and how we see in our everyday life.

Opekacka 2nd edition

On Friday, the 29th of May, We have been invited by our beloved aunty Marcela for a hike and a barbecue.
Just after lunch, some cars came to pick us and our guests up to her house.  
We spent the whole afternoon going to the top of Zobor, the main hill of Nitra. The sun was shining, and the sky was blue. It was pretty tiring on the way, but in the end it was such a good feeling to arrive at the top.
Once you get there, you really have the feeling that you're the master of the world. It's like in life in general, during the effort, you suffer the pain of blood sweat and tears, but whenever you look at the top, your goal, you always have a high burst of energy which gives you the power to carry on. And finally when you arrive at the top, and you look back to everything you went through, you realize that it's what makes life beautiful. It is the feeling that I'm sure, we will all have during the graduation...
Anyway, once at the top, we took time to chill, eat, drink, play, jump, talk and take pictures. 
Then we went all the way down to Marcela's house, where a barbecue was waiting for us. And we finally ended up the day again, eating, drinking, discussing laghing, playing with the kids and singing.


In the end it was a really nice day we could spend with the community and our guests at the same time.

Diana's Birthday

Wednesday, the 26th of May, we met our lovely sister Diana to celebrate her 17th Birthday.

We first spent the whole morning shopping in Mlyny in order to find a present :

Then we met her at the beginning of the afternoon and all together, we took the bus to her village where we started with a small visit.
We went to her little sister Ester's kindergarten, where we freaked all the other small kids out xD.
Everything was so small, it was really cute.

We also had the big chance to ride Lilly, the family's horse, who at one point became the center of the attention. Everyone in the team was so fascinated by this wonderful creature coming from God.

The village was peaceful and to spend time with our extended family was somehow comforting.
We received so much Love during the evening, especially from the mum who cooked an amazing diner.
It was so good and we ate so much that at the end, we couldn't even move anymore.

In the end, it was a really nice day that we will not forget.
So once again, we would like to thank Diana and her wonderful family for all the love, care and support they gave to us since the beginning of our adventure here in Nitra =)

At the end of the day, Felix had to leave us.
He went back home for few days to renew his passport.
But even though he is now far from our eyes he is still close from our hearts

The French Evening

On Tuesday, the 11th, there was the French Evening.

We could have the chance to welcome 8 people.
We started the evening with a powerpoint which introduced the general information of this amazing country.
Then we had some lessons to learn the basic of French, and we finally ended up the evening with a movie called "Mr Bean's Holiday " ( clic on the link to watch the trailer : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5SzD0hDzjM ) which introduces very well the French cliches.

We could also taste croque monsieur and crepes, some of the French (cheap) cuisine.

Sunday 09th

We finally arrived at around 2am from the Animefest.
As you can imagine we were dead tired, so we slept as we could.

A little bit later, we were already welcoming the people for the Sunday service.

The community asked us to take care of the kids... After the night we had, it was not really easy. But STF is about Challenge isn't it ? and there is no limit in investing. So we put ourselves on the side and took our responsibility fully.
We built a kingdom of sand with a castle and a village.

Then we celebrated Felix's birthday with the whole community.
They prepared a really nice cake and gave some presents.

Animefest 2010 Czech

Saturday, the 8th was one of the most important date of the European history. Indeed as you all know, 65 years earlier, it was the day of the end of the 2nd World War.

But, it was also, our beloved team leader, Felix's birthday.

For this occasion, we went all the way up to a town called Brno, in Czech Republic, in order to meet two of our guests, Susana and Eva, and join them in the animefest.

The Animefest is a festival, which gathered fans of mangas, animes, video games, and japanese culture in general.
There were several exhibitions, shows, movies, cosplays, arcade rooms, in brief, everything needed to content Felix and spend a nice time as a team.
